I don't have sensitive skin (thankfully) but I still end up with incredibly oily skin for days after a skully event!

On the subject of costume Experienced LARPers will tell you that buying costume for a specific character will probably get that character killed. There's an OOC running joke in the House Decora that buying Break Shield will get your character killed - it's happened twice now. Third time's a charm? ...

I regularly LARP with the other guys from House Decora. We go to the Gathering up in Derby four times a year. So I joined them. Pretty simple really. I started going to the Gathering about 13 years ago (there's showing my age!), and after a few events got Tig to go, who got Alex and others to go. An...

Is it possible to nab a few copies please to show people?
Yes - if you look at the bottom right hand corner of the image you'll see a very very small arrow pointing down. Click on that and you'll get a new window open with the photo in it - which you can save.

My point is that level doesn't come into it. It only comes into it when characters like Grim can do double and triple. In which case I would expect to get pagga'd - as would most Personally I have a bit of a problem with the ever lasting duration of that every item/potion/spell rip has in the system...

This isn't balanced. Someone who is level 4, purely on stats, should be able to beat a level 1, using level 4 combat skills. And bear in mind that this level four has to get suprise, although as we can assume they have camo it's not too tricky (without it, even without runes the armoured man would ...

The through rune however gives a fighting chance, and remember that double through is a level 6 skill, it's supposed to be awesome. A cheap rune shouldn't nullify such a powerful skill. Again (sorry to belabour the point but) the rune expires as soon as the blade hits the armour. A cheap rune doesn...

1) If you keep them then add the need of some magical ability. I would even consider making it a skill with the prereq of some form of amour mastery. But to keep the argument simple at this point, have it need a spell rip, and give people with runecrafting and either ritual magic or contribute some...

What exactly do the runes do?

I saw Resist Through - but what else is there?

Can a mage cast the equivalent spell? How does that make the mages redundant?

Besides, how do you lead a group of players if half of them are tougher than you?? How long before one of them gets ideas? It's this thing called r-o-l-e-p-l-a-y-i-n-g. If you come up with good ideas and your character has the sense and guts to speak up, people will follow. Take the House Decora as...

First off NPC's should be relabled. - An NPC in Skully is the link between players and plot team. NPC's are told what to do, but also we are allowed to have a game ourselves, or it would be pretty dull being a non-playing NPC who acted like a plot team automon, who took no responsibilty for their a...

Quite true Rob2 - only I'd go one stage further.

Characters inherantly have self preservation to worry about too. Most monsters are either incapable of worrying about dying, or don't care if they die, or have an over inflated sense of their own combative abilities.
