February 2018 - Who's coming?

Post by Nate » Fri Feb 16, 2018 11:05 am

Hello all! Welcome to the February event! As usual please do read down, even if you are not new to the games, especially as this is a slightly different format to usual.

If you're coming, please put:
Your name
Player ID
How many cars, when you anticipate arriving and leaving.
Which day(s) you are attending

If this thread appears locked, please go via the events forum to reply.

Please do not ask questions here, please email admin@skullduggerylarp.co.uk. As always, please check this thread before you travel.

Plot:
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=14443

Anything OOC - Ask Nathan or Jony.
Anything IC - Ask Arun

About the car park:
Parking shouldn't be an issue as this is a smaller event, but please as usual car share if possible, wait for someone to direct you where to park, and if you are not staying overnight please let the person know so you can be directed to a place to park. Saturday morning, if you are planning to leave site for any reason (for example supply runs and so on) we ask that you leave by 9am so that new arrivals don't get backed up.Obviously if you have an emergency or other unexpected circumstance then we will as always do our best to get you offsite in a timely manner. Sunday morning, the gates will be open from 8:00am but if you could aim to arrive just after 9am then any players who are planning to leave should have done so by this time. This strategy has helped us previously and we are grateful to everyone who has helped us out with this.

In addition, could everyone please ensure that at anytime when they park their car they have checked it is parked appropriately with either Nathan or Jony on arrival (ask in the hut!). During normal arrival times there will be someone in the car park to direct you as usual. If you arrive outside of these times or for whatever reason there is not someone there to greet you(!) please mention when you check in at GC that this is the case. We don't like having to interrupt the game to ask you to move your car and we feel the best solution to this is if everyone could check their car is appropriately parked before they go IC. Generally, people are getting better at this - keep it up!
If you have any feedback please just let us know.

Arrivals:
Arriving on Saturday is from 4:30pm onwards.

Anyone arriving early without prior arrangement will either be given a job to do or asked to wait in the car park/return and come back later.

The need to contact us prior to arriving early applies to everyone. Even if you are one of our regular early arrivals and help set up we still need to know to expect you and have an agreed time of when to expect you.

Time In:
Time in will be at 6pm on Saturday. As there is no IC area set up there should be ample time to get kitted up.

Arriving Sunday (17th):
08:00 on Sunday to book in at Games Control.

Departing on Sunday:
Time out is expected to be at approx 4pm.

Everyone needs to be offsite by 17:30 (5:30 PM) as your lovely staff team have to finish locking up in good time (plus we have homes to goto too :) ). Please ensure any lifts have arrived and gone by this time.

Tickets:
If you have not purchased a ticket, or not made contact with Nathan (Admin@skullduggerylarp.co.uk) prior to this event you are not able to attend on Saturday due to the limitations of the hall. Anyone is free to arrive and pay on the gate on Sunday, there is no additional on the gate fee.

Signing for children:
If you're signing for children (i.e. you understand that the under age player is to be your responsibility) you must be 21 or over and be remaining on site while the child is on site. If you leave site, the under age player needs to go with you. You will need to bring a consent form for under 18s if this is their first Skully event.

Catering:
The Jester Inn run by Tom Coxon will be supplying food all weekend. There is an evening buffet banquet on Saturday, and both breakfast and lunch on Sunday. Please see the facebook group for the menu.

Please check this thread before you travel, and email any questions in to admin@skullduggerylarp.co.uk. If you need to get in touch with anyone on Saturday, please send a facebook message to Nathan Hoyle, and post in the facebook group (people in there will have means to contact me), and I will endeavour to get back to you asap.

See you there
