March 223AR – Forsaken Battlefields

Post by Dan L » Mon Mar 11, 2013 5:00 pm

Afacia is mighty, but Heiligtum and the Bringers still besiege it. Leno Knights, Silurian werewolves and Degan warriors defend its walls alongside the devout soldiers of the church and the knightly orders, and the lands beyond still suffer under the Heiligtum yoke.

The allies have changed. The war remains the same. Nosque has fallen to the Lacohan goblins. Afacia stands, and stands strong. But until the plains are cleared, and the last Heiligtum army defeated, it still goes on. It is not yet time to celebrate, there is much work that must be done. Reports of the desecration of temples, and the purging of refugee camps have begun to spread throughout the City... something is desperately wrong out there. All rumours that make it into the city point to the Great Temple of Akarne being the only temple left standing. And thus the Church sends its best, its knights and their allies to get to the bottom of this. Whatever's going on must be stopped.

And what of Seraphin and the Cult of Lady Death in Darkwood? Since Tathar’s Task Force made its move on the Calaen home land to strike at its central temple, the Cult has been regrouping and licking its wounds. Rumour has arrived in Bastion of a deliberate push, a great change in plans, and the Cult are making a stand at Port Fog-Gate, with many civilian casualties. It’s time to put an end to King Seraphin Cormerith’s reign.

This is a 50/50 split game, the Malkon in the morning and the Afacians in the afternoon.

Monstering
Morning: Elves, armour, no shields, black, browns and greens, headbands if you don't have eartips.
Afternoon: Heiligtum troops, armour and any weapons you want, including shields. You know the drill for these.

(Sorry to clog this up with an OOC query - Becuase it directly inhibits my IC choice of locations is the Malkon linear taking place in Darkwood?)

This is an OC board, so ask away, and yes, it's happening in Darkwood.

Just to confirm as well, by 'Great Temple of Akarne', you mean the temple within Afacia City? I'd assume so, but I vaguely remember there being a 'Great Temple of Akarne' on the Darkwood border as well...

I mean the one in the fringes of Darkwood, the site of the Rejection, the one saved by the players in January 2012 with a ritual circle that was used as the starting point of the Afacian invasion force during the Lich war.

The Temple is officially Afacian territory, but it might be an island as it were, Dan will know that. But due to the Bringers/Leno issues, Afacia is technically at war with the Darkwood nations, so we could consider any foray to be an invasion, and thus wherever we go is Afacian territory. Whether we give it back afterwards remains to be seen ;)

It will. :-) I wouldn't piss on your game that much, dude. Or at the very least we'd make some kind of excuse.
